The Haight's Halifax Launch To Be Held Nov. 21
My long-overdue Halifax launch of The Haight will take place on Nov. 21, and I’d like to invite all friends, family and fans of page-turning crime fiction to come along.
The extravaganza will take place Nov. 21 at 7 pm at the Dalhousie Faculty Club. Mike Hamm from Bookmark will be on hand to sell some books, so come on out. You can do a bit of early Christmas shopping, or just have a glass of wine and say hello.
The Haight is a crime novel set in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury neighbourhood in 1968 – a whodunnit with hippies. It tells the story of Lieut. Jimmy Spracklin’s investigation into the murder of John Blakely, an artist found dead in a Victorian house off Haight Street. Spracklin was drawn to the case because it would take him to Haight-Ashbury, where his 16-year-old step-daughter Marie had been hiding since she ran away the previous fall.
One thing I can tell you about this book is that readers LOVE this novel. Check out all the five-star reviews here.
The Haight would make a great Christmas present, or you can pick up a signed copy for yourself. If nothing else, just come out and join the fun. It will be a good time.
The Faculty Club is just off South Street on Alumni Crescent.
