A Hitman on Haight Street, sequel to The Haight, Will Be Released Nov. 12
I’m beyond thrilled to announce that A HITMAN ON HAIGHT STREET – the sequel to the hippy-themed crime novel THE HAIGHT – will be released Nov. 12 and is now available for pre-order.
HITMAN is the second book in the Jimmy Spracklin crime series, a group of novels by Peter Moreira in which the San Francisco detective investigates murders in Haight-Ashbury in the late 1960s. Each book is a “whodunnit with hippies.” The series is published by Poplar Press and distributed by Simon & Schuster.
In A HITMAN ON HAIGHT STREET, Spracklin investigates the murder of Sarah Byrne, a wealthy heiress who had been in hiding since being caught smuggling drugs into the U.S. Her beheaded body is found on Hippie Hill in Golden Gate Park, where a concert to celebrate the summer solstice is about to take place.
As Spracklin’s investigation deepens, he learns a single killer is targeting Haight-Ashbury. The pressure on Spracklin mounts when he realizes the killer’s targets include his own family.
Set in the vibrant landscape of Haight-Ashbury, A HITMAN ON HAIGHT STREET follows the success of THE HAIGHT in blending the unique aura of the late 1960s with page-turning tension.
The reviews of Book 1 have been enthusiastic, with readers on Amazon sites awarding more than a 4.9-out-of-5 rating.
